Wrocław on tongues of the world
“Wrocław na językach świata” is a project of the Municipality of Wrocław, carried out by the Wrocław Integration Centre in partnership with the Municipal Public Library in Wrocław. The purpose of the project is to help foreigners who study, work and live in Wrocław to get familiar with the Polish language, culture and customs.
Who can participate in the project?
We match volunteers (Wrocław residents) and students (foreigners) in pairs or groups. To become a volunteer you must be at least 18 years old and be willing to help foreigners learn Polish at a given proficiency level. The students are all foreigners staying in Wrocław who need support in the integration process and want to acquire new skills that will enable them to take full advantage of what the city has to offer.
How it works?
Volunteers and students can sign up for the project by filling out an online application form available on https://www.wnjs.pl/. Applicants are subsequently matched in pairs (or groups if they wish so) by the project coordinators. Meetings are usually conducted once a week in a preferred branch of the Municipal Public Library. Learning Polish language in such a friendly and safe environment is surely the most effective way to do it.
For further information please visit the official website of the project https://www.wnjs.pl/
It is a multilingual website that offers content in Polish, English and Ukrainian.
